Our objective

The objective of our Fire Department (NSVFD) shall be to engage in the activities of organizing, operating, conducting, and maintaining a volunteer fire department for the purpose of preserving and protecting life and property within and around the Town of New Scotland. Our department is a neighborhood based organization operating from two localized stations and providing fire prevention, education, rescue, and hazardous material response as well as other services as needed. These services are provided within the department's chartered district area and in response to similar requests for mutual aid to communities within the area surrounding the department's district.

How to Join

Our department meets every Wednesday of each month, at 7:30 p.m. Departmental general/regular membership meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Please feel free to stop in and say hello.
